I've Learned to Love me
by Laa'iqah
I see with new eyes
Unconventional thoughts enter through me
They pierce the fortress I have for so long built
A new way beckons and I must heed the call
The road is sandy and unmarked. No map has been provided
Still I trust that I shall find my way, if I see with new eyes
Why do I fear being me, when that is all that were was meant to be.
I fear me, for me is alone, to be alone is perceived by me because within me there are two
The death I suffered has left me with two
Two to listen to. One to trust.
The road is darkened by the fear of the past and the apprehension that eats at my core.
The need to control needs to leave this space, but I have hidden the exit door.
The road is sandy and unmarked. No map has been provided
The road is darkened by fear
I can only make my own road out of here, when I see with new eyes
I see with new eyes and I see me
Twisted torn warrior pain no longer the cause of another
I see with new eyes a road darkened by the light I can attain to posses
Oracles, tarot, star and dreams. Runes light and butterfly wings
I see with new eyes
Me
